Artist/Creator, Crystal Quartermaine. From the Southwest Noongar Clans; Wilman, Ballardong, Njakinjaki and Goreng. Currently living on Whadjuk Boodja/country, here in Ellenbrook.I visit home regularly with my Mob, to reconnect with lands, spirit, and to learn my culture.I have painted since I was a child. My stories/yarns come from my grandfather (passed).
My style of art developed is very much one of a kind Aboriginal Contemporary 🤍 New story creations, are of my own, and come to me as I plan, and create my pieces. With my connection to my old people (passed), spirituality, and land, my stories come with ease 🦋
Very proud mother of four beautiful talented children, whom I embrace with culture and identity, ensuring I play my part in breaking the cycle of lost culture, and reducing overall gaps and disadvantages.
Completing my work within Aboriginal Health, to embrace culture furthermore within my children's upbringing, established the time to repossess my painting, and create Koordak Aboriginal Corporation (my non-profit organisation).
