Community nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of Makuru, the season of fertility and coolness. This season brought a sense of togetherness and harmony. 
This painting is a testament to unity and love for land and our loved ones. The painting represents shared values, traditions, and the essence of Makuru.
The centrepiece is the Lemon Myrtle, a symbol of strength, resilience, and healing. The Lemon Myrtle was known for its vibrant green leaves, its fragrance that filled the air, and its ability to bring people together in a spirit of harmony.
As the Lemon Myrtle stood tall and proud at the centre, its leaves radiated a sense of unity and strength - as we do together as family. 
The added intricate living beings, patterns, and symbols represent ancestral ties, spirituality, and the interconnectedness of all.
Symbolising hope, reminding to everyone of the power our dearest loved ones, of coming together, of embracing diversity, and of cherishing the land and our loved ones that sustain us. It served as a beacon, inspiring celebration of our unique heritage and elders.9
